Convenience:

An automated home is about the convenience of saving your time and effort by having your home automatically do routine functions such as watering your grass (but only if it has not rained recently), or turning off all lights, setting the thermostat to economy mode and arming the security system when you retire for the night. It’s about enjoying home theater time by having the lights dim, curtains close, TV and DVD player turn on and popcorn popper start… all with the touch of just one button.

Security:

Home automation is about the security you have knowing that you can look in on your home remotely from anywhere in the world, or that your home will phone you if anything is amiss, or that a fire will alert your home to wake you, shut down the gas and ventilation system and turn on a lighting path for your escape.

Savings:

And it’s about the energy savings you will enjoy by assigning your home the responsibility of regulating the operation of lights, water heater, HVAC system, entertainment components, appliances and irrigation system so these devices are on only when needed. The benefits of an automated home are only limited by your imagination.

Omni Touch :

The OmniTouch 5.7e Touchscreen provides easy access to to manage the home’s security, lighting, temperatures, A/V equipment, VoIP Intercom system and more. It mounts flush with the wall and features a 5.7 inch color, touch sensitive LCD screen with TFT Technology. The two-color LED offers security status at a glance.
The OmniTouch 5.7e comes standard with HAI’s latest Touchscreen software, HAI OmniTouch Pro. However, its interface is fully customizable using HAI Automation Studio (1126) software. Develop a more vivid, user-friendly graphic interface based upon the homeowner’s lifestyle and interests.

You have the option to assign devices into rooms, so that the Touchscreen displays only the devices in the particular room you’re controlling, saving time and adding convenience.

Customizations include adding your dealer logo and contact information or customizing screens to suit each individual room. You may add a floor plan graphic to the Touchscreen interface, and set up buttons that will open specific websites.

The OmniTouch 5.7e interface allows for the display of multiple languages.

VoIP Intercom Functionality

5.7e’s have built-in VoIP Intercom communication. Speak with other 5.7e’s or a Connectivity Partner’s door station and see live video feeds of your guest. Push and hold a button to de-activate the gate lock and let your guest inside. Adjustable auto-answer, do-not-disturb mode, and speaker/microphone volumes.

Automate any Room!

With the OmniTouch 5.7e, the HAI Home Theater Extender (HTX), and Automation Studio you may automate any room, whether it is a home theater, corporate boardroom, or a school’s classrooms.

You can set up one button on the OmniTouch 5.7e Touchscreen to close the curtains/shades, lower a screen, and turn on the appropriate A/V equipment.

When you add an HAI home control system to this set up, you can add control of the room’s lighting, temperatures, and more to the same button on the OmniTouch 5.7e Touchscreen.

Control A/V Equipment

The HAI Home Theater Extender (HTX) – (86A00-1) works with the OmniTouch 5.7e to control your home theater equipment. The HAI OmniTouch 5.7e Touchscreen sends commands to the HAI HTX, which controls A/V equipment using its serial and IR ports, as well as its SPDT relays. Multiple HAI HTX’s can be used in an installation to provide A/V equipment control in every room.

Video

The OmniTouch 5.7e can view IP cameras that provide jpg or mjpg output. These types of cameras may be set up without the need for any additional hardware.

Analog cameras, like HAI’s Day / Night Bullet Camera, require the purchase of the HAI Camera Server (87A00-1), in order for them to be viewable on an OmniTouch 5.7e Touchscreen.

Notifications

The OmniTouch 5.7e Touchscreen may be configured to send out e-mails based upon events in the HAI home control system. For example, when Brenda comes home from school her parents can receive an e-mail notification that she has arrived at home and disarmed the security system.
